Last Train to Snarksville

A tiny marketing blog with a bit of an attitude

Welcome to my blog.

To start, I’ve never read a 4,000-word blog post. I probably never will, no matter how many so-called experts tell me I should. In fact, I don’t understand why anyone would. Especially you, Dear Reader. You have so much going on already.

If you agree, then maybe this blog is for you.

I’m not going to force “in-depth,” “well-researched,” “exhaustive” blog posts on you. There are plenty of people out there (yawn) doing that already.

If you disagree—because you’re into lengthy post—you’ll  probably want to find a different blog. I won’t take it personally. I promise.

My posts give you small observations, reminders, ideas, and insights about how to serve your customers better. And they may be a little sassy. Because that’s who I am. I hope you enjoy reading them as much as I enjoyed writing them.

Here are my blog categories:

Every company purports to be customer-centric. But in my experience, that’s just not true. Here are good, bad and ugly examples  of  so-called customer focus

I’ve been a contrarian since grammar school. I think these topics deserve a closer–and maybe unorthodox–look.

You work hard for your company. But you are also a brand unto yourself. Tips and tricks that can help you market Brand You (ugh, I know).

Emotion drives buying decisions. Not specs or logic. Emotions!  Because of your background or experience, maybe you don’t  agree. These blogs present my case.
